Our community faces many struggles with poverty and substance abuse and the children often lack the attention and care they deserve. Seeing them smile despite these hardships is why I love my job. I am grateful to be part of the meaningful work we do at Einfachhelfen.” With over a decade of experience at Sir Lowry’s Pass Primary, Zoleka now serves as the Head of Assistant Teachers. Her role extends beyond the classroom: she works closely with parents in order to better understand the students and their individual circumstances. Additionally, she coordinates the operations of our vital swimming project for Grade R students 4 days a week.

Our collaboration with Sir Lowry’s Pass Primary School is going very well. The deputy headmistress, Mrs May, currently carries full responsibility, as the retired headmaster could not be replaced. With a new head of school unlikely to be appointed any time soon, this is a huge additional burden - one she manages with great dedication. We are very grateful for her support across all our projects. 💛
