Support for hungry children
Due to the COVID-19 situation, South Africa has been in lockdown for over 7 weeks.
This lockdown is also much stricter than in most other countries. The schools will remain closed for the time being. In addition, no one is allowed to go to work. Families are confined to their homes, often in small living areas - a big problem. Poverty and the loss of income only makes this problem worse.
Luckily, we were able to support a lot of families with food vouchers.
Zoleka, our assistant teacher, has a warm heart and helps the hungry children of our afternoon group and in her neighborhood.
